CIS was founded in 1980 in Livorno, from the union of a group of people who had already acquired a proven experience in International Freight Forwarding.

Since the beginning it has offered seriousness and competence, and has created long-lasting relationships with its customers, which are still active today.

In 1992 we opened a new branch in La Spezia port.

Our idea has always been to go beyond the supplier-customer relationship, we always present ourselves as real external collaborators specialized in logistics, allowing companies to save time for the benefit of their core business, in the awareness of always being represented and protected by competent and trusted people.

Nowadays, we are still an independent company and in the last years following the international market evolution and also listening to our clients increased needs we added several complementary services in addition to the standard activities of a “freight forwarding shipping house”.

Over the years, we have entered into agreements and acquired partnerships with companies operating in specific sectors of goods transport such as port terminals both break-bulk and bulk cargo, shipowners, shipping agencies, brokerage companies for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, insurance brokers and control and appraisal companies.
